“The biggest announcement has already happened. The WBO ordering Devin Haney versus Keyshawn Davis,” Bill Haney said to Fighthype. “We know it’s live. It’s no jive. Devin Haney versus Keyshawn Davis is coming soon this year, 2026.”

Bill said he has no concerns from Team Haney’s side about making the fight. He pointed out that the WBO established a minimum purse bid of $200,000 and said it does not matter which promoter wins the rights to stage the bout.

The interview then shifted toward Shakur, with Bill arguing that Keyshawn is taking the fight he believes Shakur never accepted.

“You sent little bro to do Big Bro’s job. What does that say about Big Bro?” Bill said.

Bill also revisited his long-running claim that Devin previously offered Stevenson a fight for five world titles with a 25 percent split. He contrasted that with the WBO’s mandatory rules, which award the champion 75 percent of the purse.

“Shout out to Keyshawn for even taking 25% and doing what is mandated because Jay Prince, Keyshawn Davis, they got what they asked for. They went to the WBO, and they asked to be the mandatory. Devin offered five belts at 25%, and he didn’t take it then. So one belt at 25%; it’s the rules. It’s not mine,” said Bill.

Sean Haney also weighed in, predicting his brother’s experience and ring IQ would prove decisive if the fight takes place.

Bill has argued for months that Shakur has shown little interest in facing Devin at welterweight. The WBO’s mandatory order gave him another chance to repeat that message, this time by portraying Keyshawn as the Keyshawn brother willing to accept the fight.
