Bayern Munich chief Christoph Freund said the team will try again for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha in January. 

Freund while speaking to BILD said: “He’s still on our list, of course. The club worked hard to find an agreement, but then… They have been strange days on the transfer market. And we still can’t say what will happen.”

Fruend also talked about Leroy Sané and the reports of issues around his contract talks.

“The news according to which there have been no talks with him for a new agreement are false. Bayern is seeing the best Leroy Sane we have seen so far, he is one of those players around whom we want to build the future of the team.”
