Barcelona is reportedly interested in signing free agent guard Tyrese Martin as the club continues shaping its roster for the upcoming EuroLeague season.

According to Javier Maestro of Encestando, as relayed by Alessandro Maggi of Sportando, several European teams are monitoring Martin, but Barcelona is currently viewed as the frontrunner to land the former NBA player.

The 27-year-old was selected 51st overall in the 2022 NBA Draft and has appeared in 122 regular-season games with the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 6.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 17.7 minutes per game.

Martin was waived by the Nets at the trade deadline before finishing last season on a two-way contract with the 76ers. He is now an unrestricted free agent.

If he signs with Barcelona, it would mark the first European stop of Martin’s professional career.

Although he did not play in the NBA during the 2023-24 season, he remained in the United States with the Iowa Wolves in the G League before returning to the league.
