Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayArsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly demanded the Gunners make one signing in particular behind-the-scenes, with new sporting director Andrea Berta ready to grant his wish by preparing an offer.
A piece of major silverware has long eluded Arteta, with his FA Cup triumph in 2020 now a distant memory, as Arsenal look to finally clinch a Premier League title under his reign.
The Spaniard has been backed by Arsenal's hierarchy when it comes to investment in the transfer market, with the north Londoners registering a net-spend of around £487 million since Arteta took over from Unai Emery in 2019.

Arsenal are set to add to their expenditure yet again this summer with the aim of closing distance on English champions Liverpool, and Berta has already made a few significant moves.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is on the verge of joining Arsenal as David Raya's new understudy, with the 30-year-old set to fight for his place in the starting eleven, while Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi's signing will likely be announced in July.

The delay surrounding Zubimendi's capture is down to Sociedad, as the La Liga side want to register his sale as part of the 2025/2026 financial year, which starts at the beginning of next month (AS).
Meanwhile, Berta has also been working on deals for both Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig starlet Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal recently held negotiations with Leipzig over Sesko, with the final price appearing to be a sticking point in talks, but Arteta's side are also in dialogue over Gyokeres as well, having laid groundwork over moves for both centre-forwards before deciding which one is best to sign (BBC).
Reports from Portugal that Arsenal have even made an official £55m offer for Gyokeres this week prompted many ears to perk up, but the alleged bid won't be enough, as Sporting president Frederico Varandas confirmed that he won't be leaving for £59 million.
Arsenal preparing new offer for Viktor Gyokeres
According to journalist Bruno Andrade, though, Berta has no intention of giving up on the Swede's highly-coveted signature.
Andrade, writing for UOL, states that Arsenal are already preparing a second offer for Gyokeres, and one which will surpass £60 million. This follows an "urgent request" to Arsenal chiefs from Arteta, who has privately urged his club to sign a prolific goalscorer.

Gyokeres' contract includes an £85 million release clause, but his final price tag won't be this high, and the 27-year-old has already showcased his outstanding proficiency in the Primeira Liga over the last two seasons.
The ex-Coventry City star spearheaded Sporting to their first domestic double in 20 years with 54 goals in all competitions last term, and there is apparently "growing optimism among the Swedish international's representatives" that these Arsenal talks can reach a positive outcome, according to Andrade.
