Continuing their search for attacking additions, Arsenal have now reportedly been offered the chance to sign a French star to solve their frontline problems this summer.

While injuries didn't help, Arsenal's downfall in 2024/25 ultimately came courtesy of their lack of a recognised number nine.

The Gunners simply could not keep up with Liverpool's impressive attacking depth and, of course, the incredible numbers that Mohamed Salah produced. As the Egyptian carried the Reds through games at times, Arsenal's problem was that they simply did not have the same calibre of player to turn to - especially without Bukayo Saka.

If Mikel Arteta is to end his search for a Premier League title, that must change and Andrea Berta is seemingly well aware of that.

Although those in North London have so far only agreed deals to welcome goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard and defender Cristhian Mosquera, that does not mean that they have not set their sights on attacking reinforcements.

Both Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko have found themselves on Arsenal's radar this summer and both would solve Arteta's biggest problem. Just who arrives is the big question. Gyokeres, at this stage, looks set to leave Sporting Club whether the Portuguese side like it or not after a public falling out. Meanwhile, Sesko has been a top target for the Gunners for some time now and they could finally get their man.

Arsenal could "close the deal" for "world-class" star "in less than 2 days"

Andrea Berta has "all the information" about a "world-class" player, and a deal would be easy to get over the line.

Eberechi Eze too is reportedly on Arsenal's wishlist as they look to ensure that, even without Saka, their frontline is still in a position to keep up in the Premier League's title race. That wishlist isn't getting any smaller, either, amid reports that Berta has also been offered the chance to sign a French star this summer.

Arsenal offered chance to sign Nkunku

As reported by The Metro, Arsenal have now been offered the chance to sign Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea after the Blues agreed a deal to welcome Joao Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion. Surplus to requirements, the France international could now be on his way out of Stamford Bridge just two years after arriving.

It's Arsenal who could take full advantage as a result and it's not just Chelsea who could feel the effects of any potential deal. North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have already reportedly held personal talks with Nkunku, but could now watch on as he heads in the direction of Arsenal instead this summer.

Even though Chelsea have offered his signature to their London rivals, a deal to sign Nkunku may not be as routine as expected if he demands to match his Stamford Bridge salary elsewhere. The forward reportedly earns a staggering £195,000-a-week in West London in a fee that must come with the goals that he has lacked ever since swapping RB Leipzig for the Premier League.

If Arsenal are to splash out, they need guarantees that Nkunku has not been able to offer their London counterparts which should leave him low down in their list of targets.
