Arsenal are interested in signing the Spanish defender Yarek Gasiorowski from PSV Eindhoven. 

According to reports via Fussball Daten, the 21-year-old defender could cost around €35-40 million.

He has impressed since he moved to the Netherlands, and he could prove to be a quality long-term investment for Arsenal. However, they are already well stocked in the defensive unit. They might struggle to offer him regular opportunities next season.

Gasiorowski has been on Arsenal’s radar for two years.

Gasiorowski needs regular opportunities in order to continue his development. Sitting on the bench at a big club will not benefit him. He should look to join a club where he has a defined role in the starting lineup. It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can convince the player to join the club and accept the role of a squad player. 

They will be hoping to fight for the league title and the UEFA Champions League. They need a deeper squad with more quality. They are expected to sell Ben White in the summer. It remains to be seen whether they can sign the Spanish defender.

Gasiorowski is a top talent

The 21-year-old can operate as a central defender or a left-back. He could be the ideal utility man for Arsenal. Gasiorowski has five goal contributions this season. However, with players like Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie at the club, game time will be hard to come by for the Spanish defender.

Arsenal certainly have the financial muscle to afford him, but they will need to convince the player as well.

Borussia Dortmund is also interested in signing the versatile defender. They will be able to provide him with regular opportunities, and it could help him improve further and fulfil his potential. It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.
