Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayJoshua says he would face the unbeaten heavyweight contender after bouts with Kristian Prenga and a potential Tyson Fury showdown
Anthony Joshua says he is open to fighting Moses Itauma after his scheduled July 25 bout with Kristian Prenga and a potential clash with Tyson Fury. The former heavyweight champion named Itauma as another opponent he would welcome in a division loaded with major fights.
Asked whether he would consider facing Itauma, Joshua made it clear he is not ruling it out.
“Another opportunity. Will I? Of course. Let me get these two fights out of the way [Kristian Prenga and Tyson Fury], and 100%, yeah, man. Why not, bro?” said Joshua. “This is what so many great opportunities presented themselves in the heavyweight division.”
Itauma has rapidly emerged as one of the sport’s most talked-about young heavyweights. The Queensberry fighter currently holds the No. 1 position in the WBO rankings and is widely viewed as a future world title challenger.
Joshua’s willingness to mention Itauma alongside Fury adds another possible blockbuster fight to an already crowded heavyweight picture. The former two-time heavyweight champion has recently discussed several opponents he would still like to face, including Daniel Dubois, Fabio Wardley, Agit Kabayel, and Deontay Wilder.
Joshua’s focus remains on Prenga and a potential Fury fight right now. However, his latest comments suggest that Itauma is already being considered as part of the next chapter of his career.
