Anthony Gill went to training camp with the Washington Wizards with no guarantees of making the roster. Gill signed a non-guaranteed Exhibit 9 camp contract. Now, after the Wizards have finalized their opening night roster, Gill has made the team for a seventh consecutive season.

Gill joined the Wizards ahead of the 2020-21 season after playing four seasons in Europe. Last season, the 6-foot-8 power forward saw the most action of his NBA career. Gill averaged 5.8 points on 63% shooting and 2.9 rebounds in 17.3 minutes per game.

The Wizards also converted Reece Beekman from his Exhibit 10 deal to fill their open two-way spot. Washington heads into the regular season with the maximums of 15 players on standard contracts and three players on two-way contract.
