Amazon’s Prime Day deals are back, the sales start on July 8 and feature four bumper days of deals for Prime customers. And it really is worth joining in if you’re after mountain bike kit and clothing, because there are some great buys hidden in amongst the mountains of junk you really don’t want.
That’s where we come in, Amazon has been running Prime Day for 10 years and I’ve been searching out deals since 2017 – I know a good deal when I see one then and, just as importantly, bad deals to avoid. The plan this year is to seek out the best clothing, footwear and MTB gear deals out there, and cast the net wider to include all the bike brands and shop who run sales alongside the Big Deal Days.
Oh yes, it’s not just Amazon that has some cracking deals around this summer, I’ve found some wicked products out there from …. … . I know plenty of us wait for Amazon Prime Day to get the best prices on stuff, or stock up on perishables like socks, shoes and tyre sealant, so now’s the time to let rip.
Amazon Prime Day 2025, October 8-11
Prime Day is a very exclusive shopping experience for Amazon Prime members only, meaning pretty much anyone on the planet can get access… maybe not so exclusive then. You do have to subscribe to Jeff’s Prime service then I’m afraid, which is £8.99 a month in the UK or £14.99 in the US.
If you’re lucky enough not to have used Prime’s 30 day free trial period you can get into here though. It also still gives you access to shows like Heads of State, Clarkson’s Farm and Countdown (apparently the third most popular streaming telly on Prime) just remember to cancel or it’ll roll over into a paid membership.
Not on Prime? Used up your free sub last time around? Don’t despair, there are great deals around – possibly even better deals – from the likes of Tredz, Rapha, Backcountry, Cyclestore, Tweeks, Blacks, Competitive Cyclist, Decathlon, Trek USA and loads more.

20% off Apple Airtag! Was £32, now £28
The Apple Airtag is one of the easiest ways of keeping track of your bike’s location, it’s easy to hide on a bike (try the fork steerer) and the battery lasts a really long time for something so small. It’s also given my partner peace of mind, adding a level of safety when I’m riding by myself. Buy one for £28, or there are blundles of two, three or four with even better discounts

57% off VEL floor pump! Was £30, now £12.89
The VEL floor pump costs £12. Twelve pounds. That’s it. It’s not a cool brand, most of us will never have heard of it, but at this price it’s just terrific value. The dial looks enormous, the hose plenty long enough, and you get a smarthead to instantly switch from Presta to Schrader.

Are these the only Amazon Prime Day dates?
In the last couple of years Amazon has also had a similar Prime Day event in October. Outside of the Amazon bubble, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are always significant dates for bargain hunters, and this year they will fall on the 28th November and 1st December respectively. Of course loads of mountain bike retailers have their own sales events, so I also like to keep an eye on those and pull out the best deals for you.
