Daniel is an experienced football writer and editor, having worked in the football media industry for over a decade.
After voluntarily writing for Fresh Press for two years, helping to build and establish the Read brand, Daniel started a part-time job with Fresh Press that later turned into a full-time writing and editing role, writing for club-specific pages such as Read Norwich, Read Celtic, Read Liverpool, and Read Arsenal.
Daniel spent just shy of a year writing and editing for Liverpool-based website, Anfield Watch, which included conducting and/or transcribing interviews with Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, former Wycombe striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, and journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Since the summer of 2021, Daniel has worked for Snack Media (now Valnet) and has been a contributor to Football FanCast, on a freelance and full-time basis, as a writer and editor.
Daniel is a Norwich City fan and season ticket holder. He has been heard on BBC Norfolk and helped DAZN with research for their commentary due to his knowledge of the club, along with being featured in several local papers across the country, including the Coventry Telegraph and the Liverpool Echo, for Norwich-related content.
Daniel's knowledge extends to Scottish football, having covered Celtic and Rangers for several years. He particularly enjoys producing player analysis and producing transfer content.
Now that the Scottish Premiership season is over and the title has been secured yet again, Celtic need to start thinking about what comes next in the summer transfer window.
Whilst they have an SFA Cup final clash with Dunfermline next weekend, the Hoops board need to identify and hire the long-term successor to Martin O'Neill in the dugout.
The decision to give him the reins until the end of the season in January has turned out to be the right one, as he guided the team to the title ahead of Hearts on Saturday.
Beyond that, the Hoops also need to improve their squad to ensure that there is not even a title race next season, and that they can be as dominant as they have been in previous years.
One of the players who could lose their place in the starting line-up as a result of such ruthless transfer business is right winger Hyun-jun Yang.
Why Celtic need to sign an upgrade on Hyun-jun Yang
The South Korea international ended the campaign with eight goals and one assist in 31 appearances in the Premiership for the Scottish giants, starting 28 times.
Whilst a return of eight goals in 28 starts is not a horrendous haul for the right-footed forward, the standard for Celtic wingers has been set high by the likes of Jota, Daizen Maeda, and Nicolas Kuhn in recent seasons.
In the 2024/25 campaign, Kuhn hit double figures for goals (13) and 'big chances' created (11) in the Premiership for Celtic before his £16.5m move to Italian side Como last summer.
Yang, however, did not hit double figures for goals, 'big chances' created, or assists for the Hoops this season, despite being the first-choice right winger throughout the campaign.

Celtic, therefore, should be looking to sign an upgrade on the South Korean forward who can provide goals and assists more regularly in the league next term.
Celtic could sign £8m winger to replace Yang this summer
The Hoops could bring in an even better winger than Yang by making another move for a star they attempted to sign in the January transfer window.
Celtic tried to sign Fares Ghedjemis from Frosinone in the winter window with a 'significant' bid, but he opted to remain in Italy. Now that they have won the Premiership and could have Champions League to offer him, they could persuade him this time.
His form in the Italian second tier suggests that they should go back in for him because the left-footed star, described as "magnificent" by scout Chebli Ishaq, racked up 18 goals and assists.

The Algeria international ended the 2025/26 Serie B season with double figures for goals (15) and 'big chances' created (11), which suggests that he has the quality that the Hoops have lacked in the wide areas in recent months.
Wolves and Norwich reportedly made bids of around £8m to sign the attacker recently, but he is not interested in a move to the Championship in England.
That price tag, though, gives Celtic an indication of the kind of money that they may have to stump up to bring the left-footed star to Parkhead this summer to bolster their squad, if they can convince him to make the move.
Ghedjemis, who scored on his debut for Algeria against Guatemala in March, looks to be a player who would be worth going back in for to see if they can convince him, because he has shown consistent quality as both a scorer and a creator of goals.
Unlike Yang, the Algerian forward has proven that he can deliver on a regular basis with goals and assists as part of a side competing at the top of the table, as he earned promotion to the Serie A with Frosinone this season.
Therefore, the Hoops should push the boat out to snap up an £8m deal for the 23-year-old talent if the Italian side are willing to do business at that level, and if they can get the forward to agree to a move to Glasgow.
