UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has taken a look at some possible divisional contenders.
In the main event of UFC 333, Alexander Volkanovski will defend his UFC featherweight championship against Movsar Evloev. If he manages to get through that challenge, there’s a chance he will make his return to the lightweight division – but he could also continue battling on at 145 pounds.

Alexander Volkanovski has already established himself as one of the best featherweights of all time, and his resume speaks for itself, and every single win just adds to his impressive legacy. Of course, looking past someone like Evloev, even for a second, could prove to be a big mistake.
In a recent interview, Alexander Volkanovski spoke about a few other names who are starting to emerge in the division.
Alexander Volkanovski on featherweight division’s future
“After Movsar, you’ve got your Jean Silvas, you’ve got your Aljamain (Sterlings), who are both pretty much in the exact same position,” Volkanovski told MMA Junkie. “They’re the ones who stand out the most right now. … That’s another one – (Kevin Vallejos) there. So whether Kevin can get a title fight that quick and jump the line, I don’t know.
“At the same time, Aljamain and Silva, they’re probably closest. But Kevin, he’s definitely someone – this is a test for him. You see a lot of guys who look good until they fight a veteran with fight IQ that’s calculated. Kevin is going to have a tough one here, but if he proves himself, he’s going to show that he deserves to be at the top.”
