NBC Sports announced Ahmed Fareed as the anchor for Peacock's Monday night NBA coverage on Tuesday.

Fareed was also named the host of NBC Sports' Big Ten College Countdown. 

“College football under the lights is sacred, and we’ve got the crew to match its energy. Plus, helping shape our NBA coverage in its return to NBC Sports? I can’t wait to start,” said Fareed in a news release.

NBC has already made several appointments to their basketball coverage team, with Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle as their lead play-by-play announcers. Jamal Crawford, Grant Hill, and Reggie Miller will serve as in-game analysts.

Carmelo Anthony and Vince Carter are set to be studio analysts, with Maria Taylor as the studio host.
