How do you shake off a disappointing end to the season for Glasgow Rangers? Well, with a statement signing, that's how.
It's difficult to remember a more exciting, marquee addition at Ibrox in recent times, with Lawrence Shankland seemingly everything that Gers supporters have been craving.
An experienced, Premiership-proven striker who has repeatedly delivered the goods in a Hearts shirt, so nearly driving the Jambos to title glory as skipper.
It wasn't to be for the 30-year-old, even while netting the opener on the final day at Celtic Park, but perhaps he can be the catalyst for Rangers' own sustained title push next season.

Hopefully too, plucking the Scotland international from Tynecastle is merely just the start of a seismic summer for Danny Rohl's side.
Rangers readying formal bid after Shankland signing
Rohl's position appears secure at Ibrox and the club hierarchy aren't hanging around when it comes to strengthening his squad, with Shankland signing on the dotted line on Tuesday ahead of his upcoming World Cup involvement.
The one-time Dundee United man has joined on a two-year deal with the option of a third, the first example of Andrew Cavenagh's push to pursue Scottish or SPFL-proven additions this summer.
That search has also sparked renewed interest in ex-Gers forward, Josh Windass, with early talks having been held ahead of a potential reunion with Rohl in Glasgow.
A more concrete move appears to be in the works too, however, with the Daily Record reporting that the Old Firm side are also readying a formal bid for Dundee's Luke Graham.
As per the report, Rangers have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old since the start of the year, with Rohl said to have given the green light to now step up that interest.
The young centre-back was the subject of a £1.5m offer from Portsmouth in January, with Steven Pressley's side set to demand a fee in excess of that figure.
Why Graham could be the centre-back Rangers have been waiting for
The centre of defence has seen plenty of upheaval over the last few years, not least following the departure of Connor Goldson in the summer of 2024.
The experienced defender had been a mainstay in the side that claimed title glory in 2020/21, while also proving something of a rock under Giovanni van Bronckhorst the following season, as the club reached the Europa League final and won the Scottish Cup.
Not a flashy, necessarily eye-catching defender, Goldson was a "warrior" in that backline, in the view of Gerrard, proving something of a bargain after joining on a £3m deal from Brighton in 2018.
Emmanuel Fernandez, who arrived for a similar fee from Peterborough, has somewhat helped to fill Goldson's void this season, but this is a side still shipping too many goals, having conceded at least twice in each of the final seven league games of the campaign.
Rohl's side need a dependable, no-nonsense figure to sort things out, and Graham could well be that, the Dundee man something of a monster in his own right at 6 foot 4.
A centre-back by trade, the left-footer - like Goldson - can slot in at full-back if required, with that flexibility potentially set to be vital considering the lack of depth outside of Tuur Rommens at left-back.
Like Goldson too, a key feature of Graham's game is just what a threat he is in the opposition box, having scored eight goals across his time with Dundee, Montrose and Albion Rovers.
In Goldson's case, the now 33-year-old regularly chipped in himself at Ibrox, scoring 23 times in 309 games, a respectable return for any centre-back, it must be said.
First and foremost, however, Graham is something of a duel-winning machine at the back, having won 67% of his total duels and 70% of his aerial duels this season in the Premiership.
For comparison, back in 2020/21, Goldson recorded a similar average of 71% and 72%, respectively, for those same two metrics, helping Gerrard's to a remarkable 26 clean sheets across his 38 starts.
That is the level that the Gers simply need to get back to, and young Graham could well be the man to help them do just that.
Having ripped through centre-back signings with little success, be it Robin Propper, Nasser Djiga and Derek Cornelius, the Dundee sensation could provide that much-needed stability again, just as Goldson did before him.
Alongside Shankland: Rangers close in on deal to sign the next James Tavernier
With Lawrence Shankland all but confirmed, Rangers aren't hanging about with regard to their next summer deal.
