Camilo Duran scored for the third pre-season friendly running with a strike from close range in Celtic's 2-2 draw with Italian giants AC Milan on Saturday.

The Colombian marksman has hit the ground running in pre-season for Martin O'Neill's side after his £6m move from Qarabag earlier this month.

He will not be the only centre-forward signing added to the squad this summer, though, as Celtic are closing in on a club-record deal to sign Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt.

The Hoops have agreed a deal worth more than £11m, including add-ons, for the Danish number nine, taking the total package beyond the £11m that was paid for Arne Engels in 2024.

The report claims that a bid of £4m has been placed by the Scottish giants, and it is now down to them to reach a full agreement with Paderborn before they can complete the deal.

Celtic will now be hoping that they can wrap up a move for the Germany U21 international as soon as possible, as they face Dundee in the first match of the Premiership season at the start of next month.

Baur would be the perfect signing to complement the imminent arrival of Hogh because he is a creative midfielder who could supply the chances that the Denmark international needs to score goals on a regular basis.
