Veteran guard Aaron Holiday is continuing his playing career in Italy this upcoming season. Holiday signed Maxima Roma in Italy's top league, Lega Basket Seria A.

Holiday joins former NBA players Xavier Moon and Matt Ryan on Maxima Roma's roster for their inaugural season. Maxima Roma is a first-year club that took over the license from a previous club and relocated to Rome.

For the last three seasons, Holiday has played for the Houston Rockets. Last season, the 6-foot point guard averaged 5.5 points in 13.7 minutes per game. The Rockets are returning Fred VanVleet from a torn ACL this season, while they also signed Marcus Smart. That signaled that Holiday's time in Houston was up.
