With the Major League Baseball season dwindling to its final few weeks, the time has come for award finalists to be announced.
All the Gold Glove finalists were announced Wednesday afternoon, so let's dive into the National League and see who will be competing for the award.
Pitcher
- Nolan McLean, New York Mets
- Michael McGreevy, St. Louis Cardinals
- Chris Sale, Atlanta Braves
Sale is a one-time winner (2024), while the other two pitchers have not yet won a Gold Glove Award in their young careers.
Catcher
- Freddy Fermin, San Diego Padres
- Gabriel Moreno, Arizona Diamondbacks
- Luis Torrens, New York Mets
Moreno is the lone winner of the group, and his combination of ABS challenge success and ability to throw out runners has him in line for his second one.
First Base
- Matt Olson, Atlanta Braves
- Ty France, San Diego Padres
- TJ Rumfield, Colorado Rockies
Olson has long been considered one of the top defensive first basemen in all of baseball, and he is likely in line to win the fourth Gold Glove Award of his career.
Second base
- Brice Turang, Milwaukee Brewers
- Brandon Lowe, Pittsburgh Pirates
- JJ Wetherholt, St. Louis Cardinals
Turang is the only previous winner of the group, and while he is stellar, Wetherholt's 25 Outs Above Average (OAA) ranked second in baseball this season, making him the likely front-runner.

Shortstop
- Dansby Swanson, Chicago Cubs
- Masyn Winn, St. Louis Cardinals
- Geraldo Perdomo, Arizona Diamondbacks
Swanson (2022, 2023) and Winn (2025) have each won this award in their careers, and it will likely be one of the two again this season. Swanson did miss a month of time, meaning Winn is likely the favorite.
Third Base
- Alex Bregman, Chicago Cubs
- Max Muncy, Los Angeles Dodgers
- Javier Sanoja, Miami Marlins
Bregman (2024) is the lone third baseman with a Gold Glove Award in his career, and he will likely be the favorite in his first season in the National League.
Utility
- Maurico Dubon, Atlanta Braves
- Jared Triolo, Pittsburgh Pirates
- Ildemaro Vargas, Arizona Diamondbacks
Each of these three players made a big impact across multiple positions, but none more so than Dubon, who played elite shortstop and left field for a playoff team.
Left Field
- Jackson Chourio, Milwaukee Brewers
- Ian Happ, Chicago Cubs
- Daylen Lile, Washington Nationals
Happ has won the past four Gold Glove Awards in left field, but that may come to an end this season. Chourio collected six OAA this year, the most in the National League.
Center Field
- Pete Crow-Armstrong, Chicago Cubs
- Michael Harris II, Atlanta Braves
- Andy Pages, Los Angeles Dodgers
Not only is Crow-Armstrong the front-runner for the Gold Glove Award, but his MLB league-leading 26 Outs Above Average will make him the front-runner for the Platinum Glove Award as well.

Right Field
- Seiya Suzuki, Chicago Cubs
- Corbin Carroll, Arizona Diamondbacks
- Carson Benge, New York Mets
One of these three will be a first-time winner, and it is likely that each of them will win a Gold Glove at some point in their careers.
Gold Glove finalists by the numbers
Of the 30 finalists, 13 have won at least one Gold Glove Award in their careers, meaning the remaining 17 will be hoping to win their first.
It's also important to note that last year's Platinum Glove Award winner, Fernando Tatis Jr., was not a finalist this year, meaning there will be a new Platinum Glove winner.
Andrew "Dew" Wright graduated from Charleston Southern University with a degree in Communication Studies. He is a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Washington Commanders fan.
